We
have arranged for special event rates at Lake Lanier Islands
Resort. There are several options for lodging at the resort:
Legacy Lodge, Lake Houses, Luxury Villas, a campground, you
can even rent a houseboat! We have made every effort to find
a venue that offers comfortable lodging as well as activities
for guests of all ages. The resort offers a spa, two golf courses,
horse back riding, a water park and beach; and boat rentals.
There is plenty to do and we are hoping that our guests will
take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the resort in addition
to joining us for this very special occasion. We encourage our
guests to bring their children for this family weekend.
If you would like to stay closer to the city of Atlanta there
are a multitude of options for lodging. Lake Lanier Islands
is 45 miles from the city center.
Travel
The
closest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
(ATL) located near I-85 on the south side of Atlanta. Most major
airlines fly into Atlanta (sorry, not Southwest) and is a hub
for Delta. Lake Lanier Islands is 55 miles from the Atlanta
airport.
Driving Directions:
From the South
Take I-85 North to I-985 North to Exit 8 (Friendship Road).
Turn left on Friendship Road. Friendship Road will turn into
Holiday Road and will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier
Islands Resort.
From East Georgia
Take I-20 West to I-285 North to I-85 North. Continue on I-85
North to I-985 North to Exit 8 (Friendship Road). Turn left
on Friendship Road. Friendship Road will turn into Holiday Road
and will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier Islands Resort.
From Tennessee and Northwest Georgia
Take I-75 South to I-285 North to I-85 North. Continue on I-85
North to I-985 North to Exit 8 (Friendship Road). Turn left
on Friendship Road. Friendship Road will turn into Holiday Road
and will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Take I-75 South to Exit 290 (GA-20 East). Continue on GA-20
East for about 60 miles. You will cross GA-400 and travel another
10 miles to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and turn left. Follow
Peachtree Industrial for 5 miles and turn left onto Friendship
Road. Friendship Road will turn into Holiday Road and will dead
end into the gates of Lake Lanier Islands Resort.
From GA-400 (North or South)
From either direction, take Exit 14 (GA-20) and travel east
on GA-20. Travel 10 miles to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard
and turn left. Follow Peachtree Industrial for 5 miles and turn
left onto Friendship Road. Friendship Road will turn into Holiday
Road and will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier Islands
Resort.
From North and South Carolina
Take I-85 South to Exit 115 A/B (GA-20 / Buford Drive) towards
GA-20. Turn right onto I-985 North to Exit 8 (Friendship Road).
Turn left on Friendship Road. Friendship Road will turn into
Holiday Road and will dead end into the gates of Lake Lanier
Islands.
